Bruce and Mildred devoted their lives to compiling a comprehensive history of the descendants of Thomas Mudgett of Salisbury, Massachusetts. It was a very commendavble achievement, resulting in the majority of this database's information pertaining to the Mudgett Family that has descended from John Mudgett (1700-1746) and Susannah Scribner (1707-1763).
 A graduate of Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Bruce D. Mudgett was Professor of Economics at the University of Minnesota. Mildred (also a Ph.D) was also employed by the university in the School of Social Work. In later years, they taught at the University of Washington.
