From a study of the 1880-1930 Censuses, it appears that George left Maine sometime between 1880-1895, and moved to Massachusetts, where he worked, first, as a sailor (1900 Census of Norton, MA: T623, Roll 638, E.D. 1211, Page 14A) and, by 1910 (1910 Census of Brockton: T624, Roll 611, E.D. 1193, Page 198A), a sea captain sailing a coal-carrying barge and living in Norton (1900) and Brockton (1910), Massachusetts. In 1888, he married Wilhelmina Hibson, a recent immigrant from Northern Ireland. They had one child, Ruth H. Webber (born in March 1895 in Norton), who married Wilhelmina's nephew, Thomas Hibson Marks. George died sometime between 1910-1920 in Brockton. Wilhelmina remained in Brockton through 1920, then, before 1930, moved to Boston.
