When he registered for the World War I Draft, Jesse and Blanche were living in Fort Worth, Texas, where he worked in sheet metal repair. In 1920, they were in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was an auto mechanic at the time (Census: T625, Roll 82, E.D. 157, Page 218A). In 1930, they lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a radiator specialist. She worked as a clerk in a grocery store. We learn Blanche's last name from that 1930 Census, because her brother, Elbert, was living with them (Census: T626, Roll 1919, E.D. 55-62, Page 150A).
