Edward was a farmer in Ashley, Ohio (1870). In 1880, he was a retail grocer in Delaware, Ohio. His occupation in Kansas in 1900 was carpenter. Between 1880 and 1900, they lived for a few years in Lincoln, Nebraska, before moving on to Topeka, Kansas, by 1900. By 1910, he and second wife, Etta, were in business together, operating a grocery store. They were living in Wichita, Kansas, in 1920, running a rooming house. They spent their last years together at the Kansas State Soldier's Home in Fort Dodge, a few miles from Dodge City, Kansas.
 He enlisted as a Private in Co. C, 145th Ohio Infantry Regiment on 2 May 1864, and was discharged at Camp Chase, Ohio, on 24 August 1864.

Lemuel was a farmer.
 On 25 May 1864, he enlisted as a Private in Co. C, 145th Ohio Infantry Regiment. He served only until 24 August 1864, when he was discharged at Camp Chase, Ohio.
 In 1869, he and Emily and family left Ohio for Scotland County, Missouri, where he remained for the rest of his life.
