From the 1900-1930 Censuses, it appears that, after 1900, Carrie studied in Chicago and became an osteopathic physician. In 1910, she was in practice in Chicago. Sometime after 1910, she re-married. Her second husband was John G. Anderson. They moved out to Los Angeles befoe 1920. He was a claims adjuster for a wholesale dry goods concern. Carrie continued her osteopathic practice in Los Angeles. Before 1930, Mr. Anderson died, or he and Carrie were divorced, because, in 1930, she has taken back her name as Carrie Parenteau. The California Death Index lists her as Carrie Parsons Parenteau.
