Clair was a machinist for the Mt. Vernon Bridge Company, and farmed part-time on their farm near Sparta, where they raised chickens, cows and pigs. As his health became worse, he sold the farm and moved to town.
Clair and Maude are buried in the Bloomfield Cemetery near Sparta.

Marjorie graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in 1957 and Husson College in 1951 with a B.S. in Business Education. For more than 25 years, she worked for a law firm in Brewer as a paralegal. She was a member of Holden Congregational Church where she was the Treasurer and sang in the choir. She is remembered as "a genuinely kind and decent person....Her beautiful voice and heart will linger in our memory." She died from melanoma cancer, which she had battled for many years.
